WE ARE WATER

Our good friend and artist was again at the pristine watershed teaching and hosting an event entitled NON-TOXIC PRINTMAKING. as you know, artists in their lives are so very often exposed to may harmful chemical.  Ms. Kim has found a way to make multiples and colors for  this callograph series  that are safe for the environment and conducts this project at Cedar River Watershed in Washington State. Cedar River Watershed in North Bend, is  a pristine 91,000-acre gem providing clean, safe drinking water for over a million people living in the greater Seattle area.

There were nearly 200 participants this year! Participants took away collagraphs they inked and printed themselves as keepsakes of their visit to the Cedar River Watershed. Program was free, open to public, and designed for all ages. This nontoxic initiative raised awareness about conscientious art making and served as a metaphor for the many choices we make on a daily basis that have lasting impact on our wellness and environment The program supported host organization’s mission to educate the public about stewardship of Cedar River Watershed by engaging the community through meaningful participatory art activity and magnifying impact of visitor experience to this site.
