WHAT IS A JACKALOPE?*

Jackalope Theatre is celebrating their 11th Season.  Their Summer  Snack Break project will be co-produced with the Yard in Chicago and it is an annual festival of short plays   that are socially conscious and cutting edge pieces.  This will take place in their storefront space, The Frontier, and they are making the production completely FREE to partner organizations.  They have united foundations of reciprocity, accessibility and agency.  They have found ways to share between themselves transportation,  safe passage, audio descriptions and sign language interpretation, group meals,  open mic’s, DJ sets,  community conversation, and skill development workshop.  Puffin West supports partnering as why should every NFP  have to have  their own copier machine?

*The jackalope is a mythical animal of North American folklore (a fearsome critter) described as a jackrabbit with antelope horns. The word jackalope is a portmanteau of jackrabbit and antelope.
