The Greater Columbus Arts Council launched an exciting new crowdfunding platform called power2give.org late last year. power2give.org empowers you to give directly to local arts, science and history projects you are passionate about. Nonprofit organizations post projects that are in need of funding. You help bring them to life with a gift and Puffin Foundation West will match your donation!

power2give.org is an online marketplace devoted to supporting non-profit organizations and encouraging people to help the organizations they love turn their arts and cultural projects into a reality.  Specifically, the site allows organizations to post and promote projects in need of funding and invites donors to contribute directly to the projects that are most intriguing to them. By developing a giving platform specifically devoted to supporting arts and cultural consumers can become donors and help the organizations they love turn their needs into a reality.  With tools and resources for both donors and cultural organizations, power2give.org makes posting, donating, and promoting projects convenient and engaging. We are supporting the GCAC initiative and ask you to consider supporting the projects that PFW supports as well. Our first power2give project in conjunction with GCAC will be the free Summer Jam Music and Arts Festival in Westgate Park to be held on July 12th. Don’t forget to visit the Shelter House when you are there as it will feature works of art created by our neighbors who live with mental illness and disabilities. We believe that art is an outlet that allows us to connect with each other and this show gives these artists a voice that at times remains unheard or misunderstood. We applaud this outreach as by displaying this art at a public event this will help break down barriers and put a healthy face on disabilities both mental and physical
