This is confirmation that ART has the power to build bridges. This just in from Patrick Roehrenbeck, Executive Director

Columbus Gay Men’s Chorus www.columbusgaymenschorus.com.

I wanted to share some good news with you. Wednesday, we were informed that CGMC is one of the Center for Healthy Families Bridge Builders Award recipients this year.

This award is given to individuals and groups that work to build bridges in the community to remove obstacles and work for a better life for people in Central Ohio – the betterment of the whole person. The center wants to recognized CGMC for our work in using music to unite different communities and build bridges between the LGBT and diverse communities.

CGMC, along with Stephen Rasmussen (CEO of Nationwide Insurance) and Andy Andrews (NY Times bestselling author), will receive the award at the Bridge Builders event on October 15 at the Lincoln Theatre.  Oh yes, we are performing also.

It is the support from individuals like yourself and Puffin Foundation West that enable CGMC to fulfill our mission, Voices Raised, Lives Changed and bring communities together with a better understanding of diversity and inclusion”.
