I am very happy to share that Queen City Opera’s recording of Weber’s Der Freischütz (The Magic Bullets) is now available on YouTube, replete with English Subtitles!
This production was the world premiere of the critical edition of the score, which was recently published by Schott Musik in Mainz, Germany, and used cutting-edge computer-assisted technology and years of musicological research to compare the many different hand-written sources for the piece.
